DYNASEAL Connection System Ordering Information – System –

Description

Important Note

The DYNASEAL connection system connects capillaries made out of stain-less steel and PEEK, as well as PTFE andTefzel tubings with saftey and low deadvolumes. It allows maintenance-freeoperation and provides a long life. Suitable for UNF-threads of type 10/32.

The system consists of a bushing, a split-grooved clamping ring, and a polymersealing. The split-grooved clampingring and polymer sealing are slippedover the capillary »back to back«, whilethe bushing tightens all parts. Thus, leak-free operation is made possible.DYNASEAL connections are pressurestable up to 450bar.

DYNASEAL can be optionally used withdouble-cone sealings made out of PEEK or stainless steel. In this case, pressure stability is accordingly reduced to 150bar(PEEK) and 350 bar (polymer).

DYNASEAL is adaptable in new con-ditions such as variable bore depths ordetector connections because it is mobile and reuseable.

The DYNASEAL connection system is available for capillaries with 1/16” (analytical HPLC) and 1/8” (preparativeHPLC).In general, to connect KNAUER, Rheo-dyne, or other injection systems; thelong head bushings can be deliveredupon request.

1. Definition of TermsThe following terms and conditions apply to every order receivedby us. This is especially applicable in case of contradictory buy-ing conditions of sale. Exceptions are only valid when confirmedby us in writing.Purchase orders are only binding if confirmed by us in writing.

2. PaymentDomestic deliveries are payable, net, within 30 days of invoicedate or in advance. Deductions are not allowed. Foreign deliveries must be paid by irrevocable letter of credit orin advance. All bank and transfer fees must be paid by the customer. The maturity date passed the customer is in defaulteven without an additional reminder. Upon delay interest of fivepercent above the German Federal Bank discount rate will be added to the purchase price, if we do not prove a higher damageor the customer proves a lower damage.Payments are due irrespective of an eventual notice of defect, except such defects which are evidently justified.

3. DeliveryDelivery dates are not binding. Delay in delivery requires a written reminder and an adequate additional period of grace setby the customer, after which customer may rescind the contract.Claims for damages of any kind are excluded.

4. ClaimsCondition for any warranty claim is the immediate inspection ofthe goods upon delivery, complaint towards and damage assess-ment together with the carrier, and an immediate written com-plaint to us. The complaint must be made within three workdaysin case of visible defects or losses.

5. Risk LiabilityDelivery is made at the customer’s own risk. As soon as thegoods leave our plant the risk of accidental loss, destruction ordeterioration passes to the customer.

6. GuaranteeOur warranty for osmometers and liquid chromatography in-struments is limited to one year, excluding glass breakage, damages due to stoppage and consumable materials such asmembranes, light bulbs, columns, bushings, gaskets and valves.Our warranty is limited to repair or replacement at no costs ex-cept if we have guaranteed certain characteristics explicitly andin writing. Transportation costs are borne by the customer. In case a repair or eventual replacement is also defective the cu-stomer may rescind the contract or may claim a reduction in price.Warranty claims are barred if the customer denies us repair or replacement of the defective product within a reasonable period of time not exceeding three months counting from thedate of the written complaint.We are not liable for defects originating after the passing of therisk, for defects originating in improper or careless handling ofthe goods by the customer, or for defects caused by inappro-priate or not permitted operating supplies.We are liable for monetary compensation only for damages caused by the absence of expressly and in writing warranted characteristics, for damages caused by us or persons employed

by us, either intentionally or – in case of a breach of condition ofthe contract – negligently, otherwise only in case of gross neg-ligence.Our liability for damages is limited to direct damages except incase a specific warranty was given to cover the customer alsoagainst indirect damages. We are not liable for advice given. Liability according to the stipulations of the German Law on Product Liability remains unaffected.

7. Property RightsThe ownership of the goods shall remain with us until paymentin full for all our claims resulting from our business relation is received. In case of improper treatment of the goods or in caseof default we may demand the return of the delivered goods. Towards merchants this demand entails resignation of the con-tract only if we declare it explicitly.Resalers are allowed to sell the goods to third parties in due course of the business. The customer herewith assigns his resaleclaims against third parties to us.

8. ExportInstruments and products delivered by us may not be exportedto a country other than of the customer’s headquarters withoutour prior written permission.

9. Place of Settlement and Court of JurisdictionIf the customer is a merchant the place of performance is Berlin.Proper venue for all claims is the competent local court at ourprincipal place of business. We reserve the right to sue the customer at his principal place of business.This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany excluding the UN-Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
