B ID BUY BENEFIT

YOUTH PROGRAMS AT WESTMINSTER!

Dear Members & Friends of Westminster: It is with excitement and gratitude that we present the 2016 Silent Auction Catalog of Donated Items. The donations are as unique and wonderful as the people who donated them, and I thank each donor for his or her contribution. Now comes the fun – it is time to purchase these amazing items, services, dinners, vacation rentals, delicious foods, beautiful art, and handmade treasures! Please take time to peruse this listing and highlight your favorites and then plan your bidding strategy. Some items are date sensitive – so be sure to check your calendars before the auction begins. On Auction Day (Sunday, October 16), we will open the bidding following the 8:30 a.m. service. You will be able register for a bid number that morning at the check-in table in the Gathering Place area. The majority of the auction items will be located in Fellowship Hall and they will be organized within the categories and by the bid number that are noted in this catalog. Members of our youth classes will serve a variety of finger foods prepared by our Kitchen Committee following the 11:00 a.m. service. The bidding will close at approximately 1:00 p.m. and desserts will be served and there will be musical entertainment while the winning bid numbers are recorded. Checkout and payment will begin as soon as the results are finalized. You can pay for your items with check, cash or credit card. Thank you in advance for your enthusiastic support of (and bidding at!) the Silent Auction. All proceeds raised will go toward the 2017 Youth Pilgrimage Trip to Colorado. Blessings, Nancy Paulson Chair, Youth Education Committee A special note to parents: Bid numbers will be distributed to adults. We do not plan on issuing youth or children bid numbers unless his/her parent gives permission. It is up to the parent(s) as to whether a youth/child can bid on items with your family’s bid number. Please discuss “bidding” with your family prior to Silent Auction and please make sure your child/youth understands that he/she will be responsible for paying for any item that is “won” with his or her individual or your family’s bid number.
