you or your staff. We also deliver, install and strike for an additional fee.

development, creating one-of-a-kind sculptures for your specific "theme,"

about US

F L O A T Installations was founded in 2011 by Janice Lee Kelly, an arctitect,

artist and photographer with a BFA + B ARCH from Rhode Island School of Design.

While blowing up a simple red baloon, Janice was struck by its translucency,

malleability, and, in a flash of inspiration, it's potential as a building block for large

scale, floating scluptures. After moving to a Salt Marsh on

Narragansett Bay in RI, she began making work to interact with the wind,

weather, muck and ever-changing tides. Photographing these lively and

ephemerial creatures as they flew and floated brought the creative process full

circle and she was smitten by this new "art form."

Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and her most recent

installation was in the moutains of Japan, commissioned by Chugai Pharmacutical.

As an architect, Janice also saw the potential for these sculptures to create scalable

Event Environments. F s has transformed venues such as Lincoln

Center (NYC), Waterfire Providence, Newport Mansions and The Rose Kennedy

Greeenway (Boston) for clients such as the Peabody Essex Museum, the Big Apple

Circus, RISD, Trinity Rep and an Ambassador hosting a Valentine Dinner Dance.

Janice continues working as a visual artist - flying, floating and photographing

her etherial and kinetic sculptures in nature.
