IBN-950, IBN-750, IBN-500 are in dark brown color and have angular particle

shape, which offer superb grinding performance with less grinding power. Its

property of continuous regeneration of sharp edges upon fracturing makes

IBN-950 and IBN-750 especially suitable for camshaft/ crankshaft grinding, and

many other applications.

IBN-300 and IBN-200 have low impact resistance and irregular shape, which make

tools less likely to have cutting overload. IBN-300 and IBN-200 are suitable for

precision grinding. Their major application is grinding precision parts such as

bearings and gears.

IBN-30 has a rather blocky shape, and it is applied to a wide range of metal bond

tools. Because of its crystal shape, IBN-30 is especially recommended for applica-

tions in which surface roughness is important.

IBN-5000, IBN-3500, and IBN-3000 are characterized by sustainable toughness

under very high impact load and heat. The crystals can be manufactured to have

blocky shape similar to IBN-5000, or sharp edge similar to IBN- 3000 depending on

the application. IBN-5000, IBN-3500, and IBN-3000 are widely used in vitrified or

metal-bonded tools. These products especially render exceptional performances

when applied to electroplated tools grinding very hard aerospace materials, and

applications which have to bear substantial cutting load. By harnessing its superior

impact resistance, IBN-5000, IBN-3500, and IBN-3000 can present longer tool life

and excellent machining results for materials from hardened steel, and alloy steel

to cobalt based nickel superalloy.

IBN-6000 is a polycrystalline product with properties of high toughness, sharp

facet, and micro chipping, which make IBN-6000 a fabulous choice for application

which requires high removal rate. It is widely used in metal-bonded and

electroplated tools for honing and grinding.

Application

IBN-40 and IBN-20 are black-colored CBN with medium toughness, and they

consist of quasi-regular mono crystals. They are the most general choice of products

for wide range of applications including vitrified wheels and electroplated tools.

There are hundreds of materials that require grinding works: superalloys, bearings,
