The Sojasun team, equipped

with G6 and Aerolight frames by

BH, will take off from the starting

line in the 2013 Tour de France

in Porto-Vecchio. This is a very

special edition of the Tour as the

race celebrates its one-hundredth

anniversary.

With over 80 victories in the last four

seasons and earning 1st place in

the 2012 UCI Europe Tour, the team

under Stéphane Heulot’s lead, will

face this season with a primary goal:

to continue growing and to take

their place in the elite cycling world.

Thus far in the season, Sojasun has

earned 3 wins with Jonathan Hivert,

the overall in the Étoile de Besseges

and two stages of the Route of the

Sun race. Participation in the Tour

is a prestigious accomplishment for

the group, recognition of months of

work.

The team’s slogan is “The leader

of the team is the team itself”,

representing their training values

which, according to Stéphane

Heulot, are “above all, a great team,

everyone contributes and if we are

known for anything it is for being

bold and conquering”.

Thus, the Sojasun team will make

its debut in the 2013 Tour de France

with the G6, a bicycle manufactured

from a single piece of carbon,

Burgos BHSupporting the learning and training of promising young athletes

Burgos-BH is a Continental UCI

team which has the primary function

of training and teaching young and

promising racers as well as more

established athletes. The team aims

to be an example and a model

for cyclists wishing to enter in the

professional cycling world. The team

competes with the G6.

Vienne–FuturoscopeCompetition, development and training... Cycling in its purest state

Created in March of 2006, the

Vienne-Futuroscope team of

female cyclists began competing

in the 2007 season and has since

and training of young female

cyclists. As a team, the UCI

Baku is present this season with the

This project, created by David

McQuaid, eldest son of the UCI

Federation of Azerbaijan, has the

goal of raising the level of cycling in

this Asian country.

Over the past season, BH has

signed on a new and promising

young French Enduro athlete,

Pauline Petit, currently one of the

top racers. At only 25 years of age,

she already gained considerable

experience in Mtb, a discipline

that she has set aside in order to

concentrate fully on Enduro.

Pauline will compete with the Lynx

6, the most aggressive of the BH

models. This kilometre-devouring

bike in the hands of one of the

best riders of the moment: an

intimidating combination for 2013.

According to Pauline Petit, the Lynx

6 is “an aggressive bicycle, to face

all terrains at top speed”.

Last year, Petit finished third in the

Avalanche Cup Lyon, and earned

second place in the Enduro Roc

and Regional Enduro Championship

of Languedoc Roussillon. In

2011 she finished first in the Maxi

Avalanche Cervinia and in 2010

she also won first place in the

Europe Cup Overall Rankings (Maxi

Avalanche).

The BH Team has begun the

2013 season with some important

victories by practically all of its

members. Each of the races held

has displayed the individual strength

of these athletes who compete in

three different disciplines, obtaining

enviable results season after

season.

triathlete Eneko Llanos who

has conquered two of the most

important international podiums,

both in Abu Dhabi and in the

Melbourne Ironman. Along with

occasions in the Hawaii Ironman,

including one silver medal. This

year, Llanos has already won the

prestigious Melbourne Ironman title.

Gurutze Frades is one of the primary

triathletes on the national front.

The Vizcaya athlete began to truly

2012 he was Spanish champion in

the long distance triathlon and this

year he already has earned various

podium positions.

The E-bikes’s brains!

When you are pedalling and the pedal assistance

is activated. A torque sensor will register the

power you are exerting and it will send a signal

to the controller so the motor, (depending on

the assistance level selected), provides power

to your pedal stroke while you are only applying

a minimum effort. The aid is immediate, smooth

and continuous.

These bicycles function the same way

as conventional bikes but they have an

enormous advantage: they take much less

effort, as they have an electric motor that

will help you pedal in a smooth, constant

and comfortable way. With the same effort,

the Easy Motion electric series allows you

to travel three times as far and offers you

assisted energy of up to 120 km.

because you only have to worry about

charging the battery by connecting it to an

have internal gear systems, integrated grill and several

The most sportive electric bike

The wide NEO range is, mostly, focused on sportive

use. They are extremely reactive, they offer immediate

and smooth assistance and they always respond to the

cyclist’s needs.

There are NEO models for all tastes. Rigid, 29”, with

suspension, Cross, Road for long distances … and with

the Nitro model you will even reach 45km/h.

More power, less noise, more smoothness

The NEO and EVO bikes share the revolutionary RDS back motor. This powerful motor of 350 W limited to 250W

smoothens the use of the motor and eliminates totally the noise in moments of extreme use.

The motor and the sensor are located on the back stay of the frame and offers smooth, reactive and immediate

assistance to the cyclist, so preventing the cyclist from having to suffer annoying jerks.

More powerful batteries

The NEO models allows for 2 types of battery of 324Wh

(36V/9Ah) and of 432Wh (36V/12Ah). Likewise, the Nitro

model has an optimised battery that allows you to maintain

higher speeds by maintaining the same autonomy.

A narrower and more stylised battery

The EVO battery is 17% narrower, since the frame of these

models is more stylised, and all of them, except for the

ECO, are 12 Ah.

Additionally, they have an external charge port so that they

can be charged at any electric charging station.

More autonomy, more speed

The best kept secret of the NEO and the EVO is their Samsung battery that is fully integrated into the diagonal

bar and is fully demountable so that it can be charged with ease at home. This design, which is exclusive to

BH, makes the bike look non-electric.

The powerful battery offers autonomy of up to 90 kilometres.

Additionally, thanks to the accelerator they can reach 6 km/h without the need to pedal.

The NEO and EVO battery is fully demountable and they can be charged in a very short time (80% in two

hours and 100% in four hours).

Twelve types of assistanceIn IBS Bosch bicycles, you can choose from

four assistance modes. In addition, each mode

has three different levels. Therefore, you have

an extensive menu of options with 12 types of

assistance. The pedal assistance selection is

carried out by means of an extractable LCD

display located on the handlebar.

Less noise, less heathe Easy Motion models with IBS Bosch

technology include a 250 W compact motor

with “Brushless” technology that reduces to a

minimum noise levels, the emission of heat and

most importantly the amount of friction when

using it as a conventional bicycle.

The battery and autonomyThe battery used in these Easy Motion

bicycles can be charged comfortably by

connecting it to the mains. The 300 Wh and

400 Wh Ion Lithium batteries have a useful

life while being used at 100% of around

35,000 and it is then capable of retaining

80% of its charge. All this allows enjoying

an autonomy of up to 120 km, depending

on the use mode.

more could I want from my ebike?

The battery and autonomyThe battery used in these Easy Motion bicycles is located

under the seat, is extractable and can be charged

comfortably by connecting it to the mains. The battery is

a Ion Lithium battery with a useful life while being used

at 100% of around 30,000 km, and it is then capable of

retaining 80% of its charge.

You can choose between three types of battery, which

allow you to enjoy an autonomy of up to 120 km,

depending on the assistance mode chosen.

• 475.2 Wh (36 V / 13.2 Ah)

For the mountains, city and roadThe Easy Motion models with IBS Panasonic

technology are ideal for travelling through

the city, going on a trip or enjoying mountain

routes. There are models for travelling through

the city, foldable models, road models, MTB

models and cross-country models.

Less noise, less heatThanks to this design, the motor of IBS

Panasonic models apply the power directly

on the chain, simulating a constant and

fluid pedalling. The 250 W compact motor

with “Brushless” technology reduces to

a minimum noise levels, the emission of

heat and most importantly the amount of

friction when using it as a conventional

bicycle. That is, there is no resistance when

pedalling without any electric assistance.

• Electric bicycles will include an

extended warranty card.

• The end user may request a +1

or +2 extended warranty directly

via our warranty web page, within

one month from the purchase

of the bicycle, and the following

information must be provided for

this purpose:

- Type of extended warranty.

Either “+1” o “+2”.

- Model of bicycle for the

warranty.

- Battery serial number.

- Extended warranty date. The

date on which this is provided.

- Sale invoice number given to

the user.

- Sale invoice date given to the

user.

- User name.

- Address.

- Telephone.

- E-mail.

• Once this data has been entered,

the system will check:

- That the extended warranty

date falls within the +1 month

sale invoice date of the user.

- That the bicycle model is

MY2012, i.e., that it starts with

the letter E.

The system will use all that

information to generate an extended

warranty number and a pdf file

(with the warranty number and

conditions), which will be sent to the

user by e-mail, once the payment

has been received via the online

payment gateway.

• Furthermore, once this warranty

number has been generated, a

delivery note will be generated and

an invoice will be issued according

to the type of warranty (+1 o +2).

• For all warranty claims, the end

user will be requested to provide

the following at a BH store:

- The sale invoice issued to the

final customer.

- The battery serial number.

- The bicycle model.

The warranty can then be checked

to determine if it is valid and in order.

If this is the case, the battery will be

replaced.

5. The bicycle and the battery should be

taken to an authorised BH EMOTION

retailer of the country in which it

was purchased in order to make a

warranty claim. The bicycle must

be fully assembled and the original

invoice must be provided along with the

purchase date (it should be kept in a

safe place).

6. Following an in-depth review of the

battery in question, all warranties are

subject to the decision made by our

engineers concerning the nature of the

fault.

7. This extended warranty will be

cancelled and rendered ineffective, in

the following instances:

- Improper use.

- Negligent use.

- When it is hired out.

- For use in competition of any kind.

- Repairs and/or maintenance.

- Changes and/or modifications.

- Accidents.

This extended warranty only covers

batteries which were fully assembled

when purchased and put together at an

electric bicycle and may not be

transferred to any subsequent owners.

application of the warranty are to

be met by the owner of the bicycle.

During the period of application of the

warranty, BH will repair all batteries or,

if necessary, will replace the battery

with another of the same model or

the most similar model from those

available.

Concepts

I. RepairsIn order to offer an optimal after sales

service for bh emotion bikes that

are out of the warranty period or

conditions, bh will replace the broken

components of the electric system under

a given budget.

II. ReplacementsBh will not sell replacement components

to the dealers except for warranties or

repairs. Batteries and chargers are not

included.

III. WarrantiesIn order to optimize after sales service for

bh emotion bikes that are considered

under the warranty period or

conditions, bh will replace the broken

components of the electric system for free.

In normal conditions of use, conservation

and maintenance, bh offers a 2 year

warranty for material and manufacturing

defects in the entire bicycle and electrical

components.

Regarding batteries, the warranty is valid

for 2 years from the delivery date.

This warranty only applies to the main

owner and in no case and under no

circumstance are the rights given by the

warranty programme transferable.

Consult the terms and conditions of

the warranty in the warranty card which

is provided separately with your bh

emotion.

IV. Exceptions1. The warranty does not apply to parts:

which are subject to wear and tear, such

as tyres, chains, brakes, cables, chain

rings, direction, crankset and sprockets,

providing that they do not present

material or assembly defects.

2. The warranty shall be invalidated in the

following cases:

• The bicycle has been damaged due

to its use in competitions, jumps,

descents, events or as a result of

being exposed - or ridden - in extreme

conditions or climate.

• The bicycle has been in an accident.

• The bicycle has been used in an

unsuitable way or any other way which

is uncommon considering the type of

bicycle.

• The bicycle has not been repaired in

accordance with the maintenance

instructions manual.

• The bicycle has been repaired or

maintenance has been carried out by

a non-authorized bh distributor.

• Non-original bicycle parts have been

assembled.

• The original owner has transferred the

bicycle to a third party.

V. Liabilities1. Bh assumes no responsibilities

regarding damages to (parts of) the

bicycle produced by an incorrect

adjustment of mobile bicycle parts, the

unsuitable use and/or maintenance

of the bicycle (including a late

replacement of parts subject to wear

and tear).

2. In the event that bh accepts a

warranty claim, this does not imply,

in any case, the acceptance of

responsibilities due to the possible

damages incurred. In the event of a

dispute regarding damages suffered

(subsequent), bh shall be exempt of

any responsibility to that effect, as it is

not legally bound to compensation.

Any non-authorized manipulation of

the electrical system’s components

may be dangerous and shall be

considered a reason for annulment

of the warranty.

be located in the correct position.

The connector has 2 holes with

gap that lets small movement for a

perfect fitting.

Make sure that all the plugs are correctly connected.

Any bad or incorrect connection may damage the system.

3.3 Adjust the torque sensorThe inaccurate adjustment of the torque sensor may cause incorrect functions

in the motor assistance. For these cases, the controller software includes

some additional securities to avoid any related risk. It is necessary to know

how the torque sensor works in order to adjust it if any malfunction appears.

The torque sensor reads the tension of the chain, which is proportional to the

torque generated by the user on the pedal. It is mounted in the right-hand side

rear drop out and it is joint to the frame by three M6 screws.

It is not necessary to remove the torque sensor to remove the rear wheel. The

rear wheel can be easily removed, same as in a standard bicycle.

Besides, the torque sensor is totally sealed and can be cleaned with water for

a correct performance.

In case the torque sensor is removed, please apply the correct torque to

the screws. An incorrect applied torque may generate an malfunction

of the ebike.

3.2 Replace the battery key

In case the user losses the battery

key, please follow the steps in

“Assembly - NEO-EVO” from step

1 to step 8 and release the lock

from the plate by removing the

screw.

Any manipulation must be done with the

battery and system disconnected.

3.1 Replacement of the rear wheelDisconnecting the motor’s cable.

To replace the back wheel you must

disconnect the cable from the joint

located behind the rear chainstay

Unscrew the nut and also remove

the rear washer, taking care to leave

the opening of the black tube facing

downwards.

Unscrew the nut on the left side.

As well as the safety clamp, to be

able to remove it.

You can now take off the wheel, replace it with a new one, and then repeat the

process in reverse.

3.1 Replace the battery key

In case the fuse is broken, never shortcircuit. It will

damage irreversibly.

3.2 Incorporate the lightThe lights to be incorporated to PANASONIC IBS must have

specific features:

- Halogen light.

- Light of 6V and 3W (without diode).

Any light that does not accomplish with previous specs will break

the 2A fuse of the electric circuit:

In case the user losses the battery

key, there are different cases:

The battery is not in the ebike:

The customer will take the battery

lock cover by removing the screw

After that, the customer will remove

the battery lock by unscrewing

another screw.

The customer will ask for a new battery lock and keys, according to the

component list.

The battery is in the ebike:

The customer shall drill and break the lock. Then the battery will be

removed and the user can follow the previous instructions.

Overvoltage 09The system has detected an overvoltage in the system.

If after rebooting the system, the problem does not disappear, it means that the battery is damaged.


Error in display panel 10 - 15The system has detected an overvoltage in the display panel. If after rebooting the system,

the problem does not disappear, it means that the display cables are disconnected.

Remove the display panel and insert it again in its location, making sure that it fits well.

Restart it, and if after it, the problem does not disappear, please contact a BH dealer.

Switch off the system and turn on but making sure that your feet are not pushing

Move the battery out of the rear

Release the 3 screws that fix the

controller box to the carrier.

The controller box will move

slightly up and down.

controller plate.

Keep the controller box for future

Now the controller and the

controller plate can be completely

separated from the system.

In order to start the assembly of

the system, pass the cables from

the fender through the holes in

the controller plate.

Then all the plugs should be

connected to the controller

(battery, motor, sensor, display

panel and brakes), making sure

they are correct. Due to the

reduced space, it is necessary

that all the plugs are placed

between the controller plate and

the controller.

Fix the 2 screws that connect the

controller to the controller plate.

Fix the 4 screws that connect the

controller plate to the controller

box.



Place the controller box in the

correct position.

Introduce slightly the 3 screws

that link the controller box

to the rear carrier.

Do not tighten them yet.

Slide the battery inside the rear

carrier and connect it to the

controller box.

Block the battery by using the

battery lock.

Push the controller box towards

the battery, until the connection

with the battery is perfectly in line.

Tighten the 3 screws that link the

controller box to the rear carrier.

53.2 Adjust the torque sensor(models with removable display panel)

The inaccurate adjustment of the torque sensor may cause incorrect functions

in the motor assistance. For these cases, the controller software includes

some additional securities to avoid any related risk. It is necessary to know

how the torque sensor works in order to adjust it if any malfunction appears.

The torque sensor reads the tension of the chain, which is proportional to the

torque generated by the user on the pedal. It is mounted in the right-hand side

rear drop out and it is joint to the frame by three M6 screws.

It is not necessary to remove the torque sensor to remove the rear wheel. The

rear wheel can be easily removed, same as in a standard bicycle.

Besides, the torque sensor is totally sealed and can be cleaned with water for

a correct performance.

3.1 Replace the motorized wheelThe motor is located at the front wheel’s axis. When separating the front

wheel, the user shall make sure to disconnect the motor’s cable. For this

purpose, the pedal assistance must be switched off.

Any manipulation must be done with the battery and system

disconnected.

3.3 Replace the battery keyIn case the user losses the battery key, please provide next

information to the After Sales Service Department of BH BIKES:

Ebike model (for example, “EMOTION XPRESS 650 LADY”).

The user shall unscrew the two

screws that attach the protection

casing to the fork.

The user shall separate the cover

from the protection casing.

Disconnect the motor’s

connection to the pedal

assistance system.

Serial number of the control panel

(for example, CD5BH11004256”),

located in the down side.

Serial number of the motor

(for example, “1004BH317”),

located in the side.

Serial number of the charger

(for example, “1010402”),

located in the side.

Serial number of the battery

(for example, “SDTDATA180497”),

located in the down side.

With this information, BH BIKES EUROPE will trace the serial number

of the battery lock and make a new copy of the key.
