● A committee made up of CSMS teachers and counselors review the information and make placement decisions.

● Placement is stated on CSMS Course Enrollment Form (must be signed by parent).

● Placements are reviewed each year for the following grade.● In 7th & 8th grade, Honors History pairs with Honors

Language Arts and Honors Science pairs with Honors Math.

Advanced Language Arts & Math*Students must meet criteria each year to be placed in or remain in Advanced or Honors Classes.

Placement is stated on CSMS Course Enrollment Form (must be signed by parent).

Student’s scores, overall grades, and/or classroom performance will be used to determine placement in these classes.

Each class is limited to around 10 students to allow for individual attention and small group work. The class may focus on building and/or strengthening skills, organizational skills, and study habits.
