CASPer Information for Prospective Students

All applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Vancouver Community College are required to complete an online assessment, CASPer®, to assist with our admissions selection process. CASPer is an online test that assesses for personal and professional characteristics that we believe are important for successful students and graduates of our program.

Please go to www.takealtus.com/casper for more information, account creation, and testreservation. Sign up for the CSP-10202-Canadian Undergraduate Health Sciences and reserve a test using a piece of government-issued photo ID. You will be provided with a limited number of testing dates and times.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What do I need to take the CASPer test?

In order to take CASPer, you will be responsible for securing access to a laptop or desktop computer with webcam and audio capabilities. You will require the following for both account creation and taking the test: ● Government-issued photo ID● Valid email address● Working webcam● Working microphone● Reliable high-speed internet connection

2) How do I book a test?

Please go to www.takealtus.com/casper to register your CASPer account and sign up for theCSP-10202-Canadian Undergraduate Health Sciences test using a piece of government-issued photo ID. You will be provided with a limited number of testing dates and times based on the admissions timeline and requirements. Please note that these are the only testing dates available for your CASPer test.

To account for identity verification and payment processing timeline, ensure that you register for your test at least three (3) days before your preferred test date and time. Last-minute bookings are not recommended.

3) How do I send the results to Vancouver Community College as part of my application?

You must log in to your CASPer account and select Vancouver Community College for

distribution before the posted Distribution Deadline stated on the CASPer website.

4) What if I need an accommodation to be able to take the test?

If you require testing accommodations for CASPer, you will need to submit the Accommodations Request Form signed by you and your qualified professional 3 weeks in advance of your desired test date. More information regarding CASPer accommodations can be found here.

5) How can I prepare for the CASPer test? Are test prep resources available?

No studying is required, however you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the test format

via the System Requirements Check and 12-section practice test prior to taking CASPer.
