Designed and implemented a research project examin- ing the relationship between knowledge and climate change adaptation in Bangladesh. Project involved reviewing secondary sources, designing a knowledge measurement tool, collecting and analyzing primary source data, and synthesizing and presenting findings. Other tasks included assisting with field work, conducting trainings, and editing and preparing research documents. Climate Justice Research, New Orleans, LA Summer 2013 Received a grant to study narratives of environmental crisis. The research involved working with residents, community leaders, and environmental justice activists to better understand how and with what effect narratives are able to capture and articulate the interactions between economic organization, social relations, and ecology. The research was incorporated into an honors thesis. Louisiana Environmental Justice Program, New Orleans, LA Summer 2013 Designed and implemented a data collection and analysis project to determine the solar energy capacity of New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Created a comprehensive report situating the fndings in the context of post-Katrina development and worked with local media to publicize findings. CARE USA, Atlanta, GA Summer 2012 Worked in the Office of the President as a communications intern. Tasks included writing and editing talking points for CARE’s President, conducting research on CARE’s work, and assisting with internal communications projects.
