Challenges • Significantly tapered external windshield design with off-centered single flue. • Constructed on reclaimed land. • Large 10.5m ID internal steel flue.
Detail of work by BEC BEC was awarded the Design & Build package for the chimney, including pile cap, slipform, heavy lifting of roof, floors and flue, installation of internal rack and pinion hoist, AWLs, internal lighting, lightning conductor, earthing works and Pennguard borosilicate block protection lining system to the inside face of the flue. But the steel structural were fabricated by Zelan and installed by BEC.
