Scope of the Project

This project will consist of creating an improved network topology of the chosen

internet café, Netopia. The scope of this project includes the analysis of the present

network topology of the said internet café, particularly identifying the best or suitable

network topology to be used. This project is an initiative to identify, explore and develop

possible alternative network topology to improve the service they give to their customers

and the overall profitability of Netopia. The project aims to evaluate the risk profile of

Netopia’s current network topology, which is star hybrid topology. The alternative

network topology explored and proposed by the researchers will attempt to move away

from the current approach. The project will be completed by October 1, 2013.
