Customer background
SIMRAD produces solutions for navigation and communications equipment and instrumentation for its globalcustomer base. The company is a technological leader providing its client base with state-of-the art innovationsand one of the market leaders in the category of maritime electronics.
Challenge
One of the customer challenges was to speed up the process of introducing new products to the market and tomake sure that products are compliant with the European directives and safe for usage. The customer needed areliable partner without experiencing delays and using multiple testing locations. It was important to get allnecessary certificates that confirm their product quality and to comply with current market requirements.
Solution
Based on the requirements from the customer wide series of testing was performed at our location. This includedservices from our accredited laboratories and making sure that the customer gets all necessary reports on time.
Results
Full compliance with the required standards was the result which allowed the client to have confidence necessaryfor the product launch. Since the customer invested a lot in the engineering of the product that was tested, alltests were complied in the first attempt. Mutual cooperation between both sides allowed for tests to beperformed in a problem-free way.
