If you ever wanted to see how a school can use Webanywhere products to their full potential, you wouldnt need to look any further than Cawthorne Primary School.

A Webanywhere customer of two years, Cawthorne now use Learnanywhere, School Jotter and Learner Journey on a daily basis - in fact, it has become an integral part of school life for both teachers and pupils.

Initially, School Secretary Gill Buckingham was looking for a school website solution.

We needed a website. Webanywhere were recommended by our technician whohad seen lots of other providers in the dierent schools he visited. We eventuallychose School Jotter, along with Learnanywhere and Student Jotter because we

wanted children to liaise more between work and school.

Having started with a school website, it was Learnanywhere that has made the most significant dierence to school life.

The children absolutely love it, particularly the KS2 learners. The younger ones tend touse it more at home with their parents. I can log in and see that, within ten minutes of

them going home, theyre back on it already.

Having warmed to them immediately, Cawthornes pupils now use Learnanywhere and Student Jotter to do work as well as showcase their achievements to their parents and peers. Older children have particularly taken to this new way of working.

The older children introduce the system to the younger ones - we set up one to onesessions and they teach the youngest children how to use it.

One of the most popular aspects are the avatars on Learnanywhere - which younger children love. In fact, Cawthorne have been using these, and Learnanywheres built-in rewards system, to decorate classroom walls. And this term, the school will be using Learnanywhere, and Learner Journey - which they recently upgraded to from Student Jotter - to teach children the art of blogging.

Cawthorne Primary School are now in the process of changing their School Jotter website to the new School Jotter 2 product - which includes improved designs, simpler user interfaces and additional features. But its with Learnanywhere that Gill has been most impressed:

I like it because its safe, and parents can look at the work their kids have done and the points theyve earned. It has really brought the school, the parents and the

    children together.

Established in 2003, Webanywhere began as a school website design company. Since then we've expanded our product range to include VLEs, e-portfolios and other elearning tools, alongside curricular content. Were an ocial Moodle Partner in the UK, USA and Poland, and a Platinum Totara Partner, as well as a Google Apps Authorised Reseller.

Our product range supports schools in improving key metrics such as pupil achievement, quality of teaching, eective leadership and behavioural standards. School Jotter, our modular school website package, is simple and easy to use and allows schools to add to, and update, their own website easily and quickly, as well as oering a host of apps to extend its functionality.
