Juggernaut

Bite Kite, launched in January, has been serving lunch and dinner on weekdays in Cambridge and Somerville and plans to expand its service to Boston now. It delivers fresh and healthy food real quick and easy. Unlike most fast food services, Bite Kite only offers three dishes a day, plus a drink. "Keeping options to a minimum is essential to our business model", says, Momtaz Moussa, company’s cofounder.

Situation

BiteKite wanted to create a robust on demand meal delivery platform, wherein, the users can order a fresh meal, to be delivered under 20-25 min. The founders were looking for a solution that was cost effective, scalable and ensured a fast time to market while still catering to their specific business model. Navigation and tracking was crucial to their business for ensuring speedy delivery.

At Juggernaut, we created a robust solution that enabled people to order food, browse through daily changing menus, see their pricing, and order instantly or schedule delivery for a later point of time. The primary challenge was to incorporate tracking and navigation, in a cost effective manner. Driver side navigation was powered by Mapbox, which allowed turn by turn navigation, and re-routing, with an ETA. Customer maps were powered by Google.

Solution

Currently, BiteKite is doing 100 transactions a day, within two months of launching the tech solution, still in beta. The tech solution is scalable, which has allowed Bitekite to expand seamlessly, and handle the rising number of average orders, which are projected to double next month.
