DMF Validation for French EMu Customers
• Government body responsible for French
museums
• Museum software must meet their standards
• French Museums prefer to use software that
meets the standards set out by the DMF
• Essential for us to move into the French
market

• We have just been validated by the DMF with
regards to “Module d'inventaire
réglementaire”
• Replacing paper accession register with
software
• Storing 18 categories of information

• Each Catalogue records has 2 sets of tabs
• 1 for accession information
• 1 for general management of the object
• Fill in the accession information
• Get record validated by Collection Manager

longer be edited
• All data copied to general tabs for future edits
• Read only accession data is then used to
produce paper accession register

• We have made it onto the DMF’s website
• Museums looking for a new Collection
Management System will know that we are an
option.

DMF Validation - What’s Next
• This is only the start
• We are now looking at getting validated for
the other 2 DMF standards:
• Exports vers Joconde en fonction
• (Export to National Data Base)
• récolement décennal
• (Auditing of the collection every 10
years)
