REPORT: The client in this case left the laptop on public transportation on the way home from a university campus. Dispatch at the transportation office did not indicate having recovered the device, so it was then reported missing to Absolute LoJack. The laptop did not connect to the Internet for several weeks, but when it did, Absolute Investigators determined that the suspected user was in fact the owner of the machine. When the owner was contacted, it was confirmed that the laptop had been returned by local authorities and was no longer in need of tracking.
