At Cascades Academy our mission is to develop the full potential of our students through our engaged community, challenging academics, experiential learning, critical thinking, and creativity. Our students thrive in small classes and through shared experiences within the school. Year after year, we hear from Cascades Academy students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff , alumni, and friends that the engagement and dedication of our school community is one of the most powerful pieces of the Cascades Academy experience. Or, as one parent last year wrote, “It’s so much fun to be part of a joyful, supportive, and exciting community. It’s like being in a healthy, loving home.”

One of the primary ways that we are able to fulfi ll the mission of the school is through a successful Auction. Like most independent schools, the auction, along with the Annual Fund, is the foundation of our fundraising eff orts. Dollars raised at the auction help balance the school’s operating budget and go to work immediately, providing the fl exibility to allocate resources to the urgent needs and priorities of the school. As an independent non-profi t school, Cascades Academy does not receive any federal or state funding. Approximately 40% of our students receive fi nancial aid - a testament to our dedication to providing every student with the opportunity for a challenging, experiential education.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015. We invite you to consider supporting this worthwhile event through sponsorship opportunities detailed on the following page. As true as it is that “it takes a village” to raise a child, it is likewise true that, as an independent PK-12 school, Cascades Academy is dependent upon the fi nancial support of our community to fulfi ll the promise we make to our students.
