By the year 2013, the minimum requirements for admission will be a 2.5 GPA and 800 SAT (Critical Reading & Mathematics) or 17 ACT. Schedule Change Requests Students are expected to take courses which they registered for (primary and/or alternate selections) If there is a scheduling error, a schedule change request can be made via the students SPAN account. You will receive an accepted, denied, or need more information--response from your school counselor. Check yourregularly. Attendance Wake County policy dictates that a student absent for more than 10 days in a semester class or 20 days in a yearlong class can be assigned a grade of FF indicating failure due to excessive absences. This includes both excused and unexcused absences. 2 absences in a block scheduled class is like missing 4 days of learning. Driver Eligibility Learners Permit 14 years old 30 hours in the drivers education classroom 6 hours actual driving DMV and DPI require that you pass 3 of 4 classes each semester=Graduated License Students must pass 75% of courses (3 out of 4 on a block schedule) to be able to obtain or maintain their drivers license! Athletic Eligibility 85% Attendance required during the semester prior. Under 19 on or before October 16th Must have passed 3 courses during the previous semester Must maintain overall 1.5 GPA Must not be convicted of a felony Must live in the school district and enroll no later than the15th day of the present semester College Planning?
