CARTOON STRIP ASSIGNMENT

CREATE A COMIC STRIP THAT DEMONSTATES TEAMWORK, COOPERATION, AND/OR RESPECT

FOR OTHERS IN A PHYSICAL EDUCATION SETTING.

FOLLOW THESE RULES:

1. USE A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER, BUT NO MORE THAN ONE.

2. INCLUDE AS MANY PANELS AS NEEDED TO GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS.

a. One panel would be too few, more than six might be too much.

3. GIVE YOUR COMIC A TITLE, included with your name (author) and period & date.

4. BE CREATIVE

a. Develop the story in your comic – CONTENT!

b. Use color

c. If you cannot draw well use graphic images / computer if you wish

5. Write a sentence explaining the moral or primary message of the comic underneath the

comic itself.

6. QUALITY COUNTS

a. Work should be neat, no scribbles or erase marks

b. Paper should not be folded or crumpled

c. Lines should be straight and pictures should be neatly drawn.

i. Especially if you are using stick people in your work.

EVALUATION:

1. Total assignment is worth 15 points

2. Content and Quality is the primary focus

a. Up to 10 points may be deducted for lack of content or quality

b. Title is worth 2 points

c. Moral or Message is worth 3 points.

3. Assignment will not be accepted if turned in with obviously poor quality or lack of effort

(tried to do it the period before or during break for example.)
