Educators from throughout California came together for the annual California Associa-tion of African-American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) Annual Roundup BBQ. They came together to meet and greet as well as discuss significant issues facing African-American students through-out the state. Topics such as Conquering the Digital Divide, Standard English Learners, Parent Engagement as well as the Afforda-ble Care Act were discussed during individu-al break-out sessions. Special recognition was given to education leaders from throughout the state, and the group was enlightened by special remarks from the actor, director and producer Robert Town-send.
