Small description of the match (extra-ordinary incidents etc.):The second match in Group B for Croatia and Uzbekistan held in the Atatrk Stadium,Bursa.Even though the stadium was half-empty, traveling fans from Croatia and especiallyUzbekistan tried their up most to create a pleasant atmosphere. There was nothing to separate these nations and it was a very equal match for most parts. However, Uzbekistan broke the deadlock in the 24th minute through UZB #3 and theycontrolled the remainder of the half. After the interval, the Croats seemed reinvigorated anddominated for large parts of the second half. They got the equalliser their play deserved in

the 65th minute through CRO #7 and that is how it finished.Group F is wide open after this result. Uruguay, Croatia abd Uzbekistan are all in with achance of finishing top of the group going into the final game.

    Referee

Crucial Decisions (refer to penalty kicks, sending-off situations etc.)

Minute and Description of the Scene / Assessment of the referee s decision

Basic Observations (refer to the general application of the LotG, highlight thereferee s tactical approach, personality, match control, management of the teamsand players, teamwork etc.).Please deploy short but precise and detailed sentences!

    Positive Points

    1. Showed good fitness and was always close to the action.

    2. No altercations as both nations respected his decisions and did not dispute them.

3.Alhough it wasn't a very "dirty" encounter. Carrillo administered seven yellowcards which I thought were all justifiable. There were mostly for clumsy tacklescommitted by player's.

    Points for Improvement

1.Awarded a free-kick to Croatia in the 20th minute. However, further replaysindicated that CRO #8 falls to the ground without any contact. Caution for

simulation is possible in this situation.2.

A quite reckless challenge from UZB #8 on CRO #2 which at a very leastdeserved a caution. Carrillo was unmoved.

3.Carrillo should be more friendly in matches of this nature. A smile here and therewould be appreciated.

    Assistant Referee 1

Please assess the first assistant referee s performance.

Minute and Description of the Scene / Assessment of the AR s behaviour

    . 20'

    . 28'42'

    . 89'

Satisfying performance from Bossio as he got both of his offside decisions in the42nd and 89th minutes right. However, I brought his marks down by 0.2 because he could of assisted Carrilloin the 20th and 28th minutes respectively as they occured within his vicinity.
