Carpooling or vanpooling are great ways to reduce the cost of driving to work! Leave your car at home just two days a week and you’ll see real savings at the pump and on maintenance expenses.

Even a short commute by car emits dangerous green house gases into the environment. Carpooling or vanpooling is a positive way to reduce your impact.

Many insurance companies will lower rates if you drive your car less frequently. Ask your insurer if they offer such a discount program.

When you carpool or vanpool, you can leave the driving to someone else a few days a week. Take a nap, catch up on reading, or enjoy conversation.

No need to worry about getting home if you carpool/vanpool. If you or your carpool/vanpool mate(s) must leave early/stay late, or have an unexpected emergency, HART will subsidize the cost of a rental car, driving service, or taxi to get you home.

By submitting this application you agree that you have read the information below.

1. You have been asked to provide certain information on this form for the purpose of providing yourself and like applicants with rideshare matching services.

2. You understand that participation in the HART Commuter Services program is strictly voluntary, and you are not required by law to furnish any of the information requested on the form.

3. You understand that the following information may be shared with other commuters for the purpose of facilitating the formation of a carpool/vanpool: Name, City, State, Email, Worksite, Work phone (if provided), Hours of Work. All other information you provide is considered private and will not be shared.

4. You understand that the information that you have provided will be shared with others in the ridematching database in order to supply you with the requested matching services. Match lists containing the information noted above will be sent to those commuters who match your commute profile.

5. In the event that you match with other commuters in the database during a match request, you will be sent an alert to let you know that your name and contact information appeared on a matchlist.

6. If at any point you wish your information to be updated, inactivated, or deleted from the commuter database, it is your responsibility to contact HART Commuter Information Services to make that request. You agree to provide HART up to five (5) business days to fulfill your request.
