Multiple levels of Density of surfaces.

Multiple levels of Tactility between foot and surface.

Multiple demands of balance & proprioception.

Developed for soldiers to acclimate them to the varying surface challenges not typically found in rehab centers.

Multiple levels of challenge with depth of surface.

The Sporadic Rug- creates an isolated and independent experience between the right and left sides of the body.

“Progressive” Rug- offers 2 levels of challenge. They are defined as “Difficult” and “Dynamic”. Challenges offered are related to proprioception, and learning to lift your foot prior to a forward thrust.

“Progressive +” Rug – offers 3 levels of challenge. This Rug is the same as the “Progressive” Rug, with a new feature that causes a patient to deal with greater tactility between the foot and the floor surface.

Why Wool?

Wool- maintains density and body so the experience will not quickly fade away.

Wool- 100% pure wool is an environmentally sound selection in that it is completely biodegradable and, wool is referred to as a ‘bio-based’ fiber since its production is fueled by another rapidly renewable resource – grass.

Wool- is an ideal selection for allergy-prone individuals since allergy to wool is virtually non-existent

Wool- also acts as a natural air conditioner, absorbing moisture during periods of high humidity and releasing it when the air is dry.

Wool- requires from one third to one sixth the energy to produce than comparable synthetic fibers.
