Born in Detmold, she begins her piano studies at 5 with her father Gregor Weichert,whom she keeps studying with at the Music Highschool in Münster. She completes herstudies at the Music High School of Detmold with prof. Kretschmar-Fischer achievingher Concert Master degree in 1990. Two times awarded at the "German nationalselection (of concerts) for young artists" from the German National Music Board, she isalso awarded in the International Contsts: Schubert, Busoni and Chopin in Cologne.She's piano teacher at the Music and Theater High School of Hamburg since 1992. Shehas also been awarded different music critics prizes for her piano solo CDs ofSchostakowitsch , complete piano works, and Erwin Schulhoff (2012)
