Carmilla, based on the classic gothic novella by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, is a 36 part video series hosted on YouTube. Created by shift2 and Smokebomb, the series follows Laura Hollis , a college freshman at the rather sinister Silas University.

Carmilla is a transmedia, multi-platform branded digital story being told on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr pages. The fandom on this series is massive. In less than 24 hours over 10,000 people filled out the following survey. Here are the results.
