We recommend that you ask the SUBARU dealer to install this product. We are not liable for any damage or injuries as a result of inappropriate assembly. 2. For safety during installation, park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and disconnect the ground to the battery prior to starting work. 3. Use extreme caution during installation and removal of the car parts so as to avoid damage to the parts or the vehicle. 4. Perform wiring safely and ensure that the harness does not cause any short circuits by rubbing on the sharp edges of the body panels. 5. Please refer to the service manual for details of the work procedure. 6. Be sure to follow the following matters to ensure safety and proper installation. Check if car electrical equipment functions properly. Also, be sure to write down the electrical equipments memory, including that of the radio . It will prevent trouble during the restoration check after installation. Disconnect the battery terminal during wiring. Performing wiring with the terminal connected to the battery can result in a short circuit which in turn can cause an electric shock or injury. Use the appropriate tool to tighten bolts and nuts. Tighten them at the designated torque if specified. Failure to do so is dangerous because bolts and nuts could become damaged or come off due to inadequate tightening. When disconnecting the vehicle connectors, do not pull the lead wire but hold the connector body to separate. Doing so prevents damage to the wire. Securely connect connectors and terminals. Failure to do so can result in poor connections. When connecting the harnesses, put car wiring together along the harness or fix it using clamps. Do not leave wiring hanging freely. Putting together or fixing harnesses prevents the harness from being caught on something or generating noise. When installing parts or the finisher which was previously removed, do not hook or jam the harness onto the back side as this could result in wire breakage or a short circuit. Do not strongly pull on the car wiring harness as this may cause the connector to come off, wire breakage, or other forms of damage. After wiring the harness, conduct an operation check of the parts installed before recovery to confirm the wiring was done properly. 00
