NOTE: Insurance begins at the time cargo is received by GNWT and ceases at the time cargo leaves GNWT’s care/premises. Cargo Insurance is provided through Jardine Lloyd Thompson subject to various exceptions and deductibles depending on the type of cargo. Details can be supplied upon request or can be found at http://www.pws.gov.nt.ca/services/marine-transportation-services. Inherent vice and delay always excluded. Plants, animals, and bulk fuel products are also always excluded. WAIVER: All customers ship at their OWN RISK OF DAMAGE, LOSS OR DELAY. Customers must buy insurance for the full value of the cargo or accept the risk of loss or damage. GNWT and its servants and agents have no liability for any loss, damage or delay howsoever caused, even if by negligence, or have limited liability, as may be stipulated by any written volume contract that applies to the shipment. The Hague Visby Rules do not apply to this contract and no bill of lading will be issued.
