UNDERGROUND RAILROAD RUN...SAVE THE DATE!!
Mark your calendars now for the 19th annual Underground Railroad Run! A fun
morning of health and fitness is scheduled for Saturday, March 18 at Westfield High
School. This event is sponsored by the Westfield Education Foundation and includes
a 5k race starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 3k fitness walk at 9:30, and an awards
ceremony at 10:15. Be sure to check out the free Health Fair hosted by the WWS
nurses, from 8:00-10:30 a.m. Run/walk registration forms will be
sent home very soon with your student. All proceeds from the Under-
ground Railroad Run benefit students at Westfield Washington
Schools through classroom teaching grants and college scholarships.
WWS students/families, please turn in registration forms by Monday,

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the Cafeteria on Tuesday,
February 28th. We will be serving “King” Cakes with the
purchase of a Reimbursable Meal (Pick at Least 3: Grain,
Protein, Fruit, Vegetable, Dairy —1 of the 3 must be a fruit
or vegetable.
Don’t Forget that we serve Hot Breakfast
everyday from 8:30am—9:00am

On Tuesday, March 1st, we are giving our Hot Dog (turkey
frank) a Cheesy Twist from the ordinary. Our kitchens will be
twisting him up in our own pizza dough, much like a “pig in a
blanket” and popping him in the oven.. Oh boy, Hot Diggity
Dog!
Thursday, March 2nd is National Read Across America celebrat-
ing Dr. Seuss.

WYSA/IFJ Spring Recreational Soccer Registration is filling up! Visit our
web page at www.indianafirejuniors.com/rec to find out more about
the spring season. We will keep age groups open while there is space
available. No experience necessary!
All games and practices will be at the Grand Park Sports Campus. The
cost is $130 for second grade and under, and $150 for third grade and
up. Players must be 4 as of January 1, 2017 to play. Age groups start at
Pre-K and go up through senior high school.
