Careers in Accounting and Management Professions:

The Careers in Accounting and Management Professions (C.A.M.P) Program is an opportunity for un-

derrepresented high school students to learn about the field of accounting and management related ca-

reers. The program allows students to participate in a week-long residential program where they will stay

overnight in a college residence hall, take workshops and seminars with top Isenberg faculty, meet with

key business professionals, and have an opportunity to network with other students. There is no cost to

the student.

Student Eligibility and Participants:

In order to participate, high school students should be rising seniors September 2019. Students with who

meet our target group, strong academics, motivation, leadership and interest in accounting will be given

preference.

Dates for C.A.M.P.:

The summer C.A.M.P. takes place during the middle of the summer, July 21, 2019 through July 26, 2019.

Most activities occur on the campus of UMass Amherst. Students stay on campus throughout the week.

All meals will be provided by the Isenberg School. The program is designed to be challenging, fun, and en-

gaging. There is no financial charge to the participants; applications to the program must be postmarked

by May 24, 2019.

Activities at C.A.M.P.

The program will include a diverse set of learning experiences, such as classroom lectures, hands on activi-

ties, and visits to business organizations such as the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, a large public ac-

counting firm, and meetings with business professionals. Sessions regarding college admissions, resume

building, networking, and career exploration will take place during the week of C.A.M.P.
