My responsibilities apart from design, included being the main client contact, and chairing project meetings throughout the design and construction phases. I worked closely with the engineersto redesign the interior structure in order to accommodate the spatial requirements for change of use. Clients soldall units months in advance based on the preliminary design and 3D illustrations. Project was completed on‐timeand within budget in Summer 2007.

Design solution B seeks to create functional wall art using the basis of field relationships, organization and structure with the intention of activating vertical surfaces. This solution also addresses the possibility for prospect and refuge. Through the use of flexible fabric the user sinks into a presumably safe, personal and intimate retreat.
The tubes represent the architectural objects (points of intensity) as found in the urban fabric with the frame acting as the infrastructure and support structure, while the fabric represents the synthetic environment which unifies the field.
