Definitions
Career development intervention is defined as any activity that empowers people to cope effectively with career development tasks (Niles & Harris-Bowlsbey, 2002).
It is a deliberate act aimed to enhancing some aspect of a person’s career development such as career maturity and career decision making (Isaacon & Brown, 2000).
There are many type of career development interventions including career guidance, career counseling, career information, career education, career development program
and career coaching (Isaacon & Brown, 2000).
All these interventions are help people to develop self-awareness, occupational awareness, learn career decision making skill, job search skills, cope with job stress, adjust and implement after have make a choice, problem solving skills

This class of interventions designed to promote both career and academic self-efficacy and motivations through sustained and meaningful interactions with work site in the community.
There are ten types of work-based interventions include cooperative:
education, internship, job shadowing, job coaching, job placement, mentorship programs, service learning/volunteer programs, work-based learning project, work study and youth apprenticeship.
