Vacation Care Program out next week! Closing date for bookings will Wednesday
21st March.
Vacation Care booking procedures If you only use our vacation care service, a new online enrolment still needs to be completed each year. The membership fee is payable by all families using the service. To book for vacation care please return:
• Permission note for excursion • The booking sheet with days booked and excursions
signed • Priority of access sheet
Bookings need to be made by the closing date (Wednesday March 21st) at the latest. Places are subject to availability. Whilst we are on service premises the ration is 1:15, on excursions it is 1:8, this is why excursions have limited numbers. Children are to attend excursions if booked in on excursion days. Parents will be sent an email when the program is ready and it will be available on our website, a notice will also be on the notice board. Child Care Benefit, priority of access, late fees and rules regarding the signing of the daily digital attendance still apply.
There are no refunds for vacation care cancellations. Please book carefully
• The $55 membership fee will be added to your account this week and will show up in your statement in two week’s time.
• If your child/ren attends any extra curricular classes please email us or hand in a form with the day/date/time. This is solely for safety reasons
Absenteeism:
If your child is enrolled with us and is unable to attend for any particular reason, please advise us in person, via email or by leaving a message on the answering machine. This procedure is extremely important for the safety of your child/ren, and the other children in attendance as it saves time and confusion. The correct forms must be used in order to notify us of any changes to your bookings. The appropriate forms are: • Booking form • Extended leave form
(for holiday leave) • Authorised Collectors
form (to be used if you would like to change the people nominated to collect your children)

Monthly Visits to the Library
Within the next couple of weeks, we will be starting up the monthly visits to
Bowen Library. This will allow for sixteen children each
month on a Friday to go down to the library with two staff members and enjoy some activities and chill time. These sessions are limited to only
sixteen children and children will only be allowed to go to one session
depending on numbers. Keep an eye out, as we will be sending
out flyers very soon.
Earn and Learn
Thank you to all the families who helped us out with the Woolworths
Earn and Learn program, we managed to order a lot of new equipment that
will be arriving next Friday. We will be sending out consent forms for photographs next week, so please be sure to sign it if you wish for your
child to be/not be photographed.
We can’t wait for the children to open up the packages and see what new
equipment they now have!

Term 1 Week 3 - 4 Educators Area
Programming
At MJCC, the educators work alongside the children to program the upcoming weeks in
relation to the themes. This allows for the children’s voices to be heard
and ensures that we are always coming up with fun and exciting activities for the children to
enjoy.
Each educator is also doing a ‘project’ for a particular theme they have chosen. This allows for the educators to undertake an activity in an
area that they especially love. These projects will be occurring throughout the rest of the year.
Next week, Mary will be creating a music and colour festival in celebration of Holi! This will occur on Friday, so make sure you bring a spare change of clothes as things are going to be super colourful and messy! Upcoming themes for the term:
• W5 - Holi – festival of colours
• W6 - Lantern festival • W7 - Magic week • W8 - Game show week • W9- Easter celebrations • W10 - Science week • W11 - Commonwealth
games
