Truck Brake Levers Schaefer’sforgedtruckbrakeleversfeatureI-beamdesignsthateliminateneedlessmetalwhiletheirentirelengthisproportionedtoofferuniform resistancetostress.ManufacturedfromC-1040/1045specialbarquality steel,theselightweightlevershavepinholessizedtoassureproperfit. Truck Lever Connections (Bottom Rods) Hollow-forgedtruckleverconnections,manufacturedfromC-1040/1045 specialbarqualitysteel,aredesignedforspecificloadrequirements.Their design provides greater strength while eliminating all unnecessary weight, thus reducing wear on the connection and all connected components. Brake Rod Cylinder Push Pins SchaeferbrakecylinderpushpinsareforgedfromC-1040/1045specialbarqualitysteelforlightweightandhighstrength,especiallyinthejawarea,wherereducedweightprovidesbetterwearandlongerservicelife.BrakerodsexceedAARrequirements.

Air Hose Hanger Consistingofafive-pieceforgedandweldedunit,theairhosehangerincorporates a ball and socket design that enables the integral 60 degree hosefittingtoswinginanydirection.Sincehoseandfittingscanmovewiththe coupler, hose kinking, tracking and breaking are reduced. A welding plateattachescompletedassembliestothecar.Theunitincludesa11/4inch,60degreeanglefittingforapplicationtocarswithlongshankcouplersand/orslidingcentersills.Hangerscomeinvariouslengths.

Corner Caps Forgedcornercapsaredesignedtoreinforcethecornerstructuresof gondolaandopen-tophoppercars.Offeredinboltedorweldedversions,theyfeaturestrength,arelightweightandeasytoinstall.WeldedcornercapsaremanufacturedfromC-1020steeltofacilitatewelding.BoltedcapsareforgedfromC-1040/1045steelforaddedstrength.

Crossridge Bracefeet Availablefor30and45degreeslopesheets,Schaefer’sCrossridge Bracefeetaredesignedtobeweldedtothelowerendofstandard3by5inch rectangular tubing, and the assembly to be bolted to the crossridge. Then,whenneeded,brakereplacementissimpleandquick.Schaefer BracefeetmeetAARspecificationM-126,GradeB.

Coupler Carrier Wear PlatesCoupler carrier wear plates come in either ASTM A-128 austenitic manganesesteelorheat-treatedC-1040/1045specialbarqualitysteel.Manganesesteelplatesaredesignedforextendedserviceandlongerlife.In service, metal to metal contact between coupler and coupler carrier wear platequicklyproducesapolished,work-hardenedsurfacethatishighlyresistant to abrasion. The plates meet AAR standards.

Intercar CableThe ECP Inter-Car Cable and Lanyard is used to connect the 230VDC Trainline between ECP wagons and locomotives.
