Bullying is an act to frighten, hurt, or threaten a weaker or preferably a smaller

person in a manner that is very rude. Let me tell you my own definition of it, back in my

kinder and elementary years I myself was somehow a bully to other people. I would tease

them daily, make fun from their trivial mistakes and be a jerk to everyone, even to my

own family because it felt so good that you area a little higher in a way to other people.

Fortunately, after I entered high school my perception and point of view eventually

changed after I made my classmate sob in teas and also with a heartbreaking scold from a

priest. He made me realize that I have no right in all ways to hurt other people and he told

me these words “Do not do unto others what you don’t want others to do to you”, from

then o until now I always think before I say something or do something especially to

other people.

An anti bullying law was passed and approved in our country 2 years ago, I’m not

sure of the exact date but here’s the thing. No matter what the law states, bullying is

inevitable. From my point of view, it can come from different situations. For instance,

one boy in class is constantly being avoided by a group of friends due to his

incompetence to them or because of his physical appearance. In my opinion, it is a form

of indirect bullying since the boy would eventually figure things out why those people are

keeping their distance to him. It may seem shallow and meaningless to others but let’s not

forget how the boy feels, he can be traumatized emotionally & socially which will end up

in his lack of social skills or ability to resonate his feelings to others

In conclusion, what I can tell from my experience of being a bully and the

experiences of other people of being bullied even there is already a law that prevents it, is

that bullying is something that most people experience in their childhood, some are

extreme and some are not. What the law can do is to lessen the number victims but

cannot deliberately make bullying 0%, parents on their part must always remind their

cild/ren to be good to others so that they will also be good to them.

Societal Improvision: Moderation, empathy and equality

Do you think society today is perfectly running on at least fair for every

individual? If you say yes, then society itself has fooled you. This might be a broad topic

if you look at it, but let’s try to boil it down to something simple and try to lay down facts.

Individuals make up society. If so, does interaction between individuals impact

the society? Of course it does! Since were dealing with social issues, let’s talk about

bullying. According to Pao, bullying has a big impact on every individual, may it be the

one bullying or the one bullied. According to Sean, although this is inevitable, due to

conflicting opinions or other reasons, society has to find a way to limit it. There’s already

an anti bullying law, however Karl thinks that there should be a heavier punishment for

that, according to Leo and Michael.

In the Internet, millions of people are connected to each other and interact with

each other through it, but people’s behavior towards one another isn’t always pleasant

due to cyber bullying. According to Leonardo, abusing the Internet is very easy through

anonymity, and bullying others with it is always happening. The Internet has to much

freedom according to Karl, that with it’s limitless potential it can easily be used for

wrong doings. Due to its freedom, cyber crime has been inevitable said Paolo. According

to Michael, one of these crimes is plagiarism. We don’t want to put computer in a bad

light, it definitely can be advantageous even in terms of video games. According to Karl,

video games can unite people and can wake up the government in putting it in a good

light. People need to know more about moderation in video games to the benefit of

society.
