Fellow ShootersWe, at Cardinal Center, would like to extend a warm and heartfelt invitation for you to join us for the 12th Annual Buckeye Open. We are looking forward to the 2018 shooting season, and creating some wonderful new memories and great times with friends and family. Vendor Building 3 is filling up with new vendors, and we continue to add new sponsors to our shoots each year. Please join us in welcoming the new vendors and sponsors, as well as to patronize the long standing vendors who continue to support the Cardinal Center!
We are constructing a state-of-the-art rifle/pistol range set to be completed in 2018 and we have a full schedule of events planned. Our fishing lake has been cleaned and deepened with the gazebo now sitting off the deck over the water. The standard cabins have all been replaced now, and renovations to the camp office have been completed for a whole new look all around!
We hope that you enjoy these additions and improvements, so your time spent here at the Buckeye Open will be the best yet. Here’s to another great season – and best of luck on your shooting!!!
Sincerely,
The Fishburn Family & The Cardinal Center Staff

SHOOTER’S RESPONSIBILITYENTRY AND SHOOTING PROCEDURE
(1) Take your average card to the classification desk. Do not attempt to make your program entries before doing so.
(2) BE SURE YOUR AVERAGE CARD IS UP-TO-DATE. Be sure you check your ticket and see that your class and handicap yardage are correct prior to leaving the classification desk. It is your responsibility to know the rules. You are sub-ject to penalties for shooting in the wrong classification or at the wrong yardage even if your card is so marked. It is the responsibility of category shooters to see that they are so marked at the time they are classified/handicapped.
(3) Please be sure to have your ATA plastic card when you are at the entry win-dows. You will not be able to enter any events without your plastic card.
(4) If you draw squad positions that will not be used for an event, please see squadding personnel or use the self-service terminals to release your position. Releasing your position allows us to fill holes in open squads, making this tour-nament more enjoyable for all shooters. A shooter may not draw more than one (1) position per event.
(5) You will directly input your entries, including options, at the cashier windows using a touch screen system. Upon paying your entry fees, you will be supplied with a receipt showing your squad, and position, along with your class / yard-age, options and applicable categories for each event entered. Once you leave the cashier window your entry cannot be changed for options or squadding.
(6) Squadding will be restricted to a maximum of 2 yards on a squad.
(7) The cashier will accept no counter checks or secondary party checks and the only type of cash or check accepted will be U.S. funds. Checks will be accepted for the amount of shooting fees only - No Exceptions.
(8) All entries are final. No additions or withdrawals permitted on purses and op-tions. NO ENTRIES REFUNDED UNLESS THE EVENT IS CANCELLED.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
(1) Should you win or tie for high in a class in any 16 yard or doubles event or earn yardage in any handicap event, it shall be your responsibility to report to the handicap desk and have your yardage increased or classification re-viewed. High scores in each class, starting with the class singles (EV 7) and class doubles (EV 9) will automatically be moved up a class. Shooters whose class or yardage is changed for any reason shall be considered to be notified when the new class or yardage is posted on the bulletin board.
(2) Any shooter failing to carry out rule 1 above, or who shoots in an incorrect class or from a yardage higher or lower than that assigned by the handicap commit-tee, will be subject to disqualification and will not be eligible to share in any money division or be eligible for trophies.
(3) All category shooters must declare their special category at the time of clas-sification in any registered tournament if they wish to compete as a category shooter. Without such declaration, the contestant will not be allowed to com-pete for the applicable category trophy for the duration of the tournament. No contestant will be allowed to declare or change a special declaration after firing his/her first shot. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Failure to declare your classification does not constitute an ATA classification error. Please check your classification receipt before leaving the classification window.
(4) Each shooter who is entitled to receive money won during any event agrees that if such money is not received by him during the period of this tournament, a check in payment for the money won may be mailed to him at the address indicated by ATA records, and when so mailed, the club will not be liable in any manner whatsoever for any check lost, stolen, unclaimed or otherwise not re-ceived or not cashed by the shooter. Additionally, each shooter acknowledges that IRS regulations require 1099 reporting on winnings totaling $600 or more for each calendar year, and that a Social Security number is required before event winnings checks can be distributed or mailed. Please note, all options checks are void if not cashed within 90 days, as stated on checks.
(5) Management will not be responsible for errors in scores after the options have been posted. Shooters should use the electronic bulletin board and the score board to check their scores and notify shoot management immediately if a dis-crepancy is noticed. SCORES BECOME FINAL FOR PURSE AND OPTIONS 1 HOUR AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE EVENT.
(6) Shooter’s yardage will be ATA assigned yardage. Singles and Doubles clas-sification will be based on recorded averages and shall be determined by the classification committee. New shooters without an established average for 16 yard and doubles shall be placed in class B or higher at the discretion of the classification committee.
(7) In an effort to avoid unused positions, it is imperative that you either cashier or release all positions that you have squadded for prior to the event. Anyone that does not cashier or release positions that have been squadded in their name will risk having any or all subsequent squadded positions in their name released by management. You may call the office at 419-253-0035 if you cannot make it to the club in time and have your position released.

CATEGORY SHOOTERS
(1) All Sub Juniors, Juniors, Junior Gold, Sub Veterans, Veterans, Sr. Veterans, Lady1, and Lady2 category shooters must declare their special category at classification if they wish to compete as a category shooter. Without such dec-laration, the contestant will not be allowed to compete for the applicable cat-egory trophy for the duration of the tournament. No contestant will be allowed to declare or change a special declaration after his/her first shot in any event. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
(2) Any shooter who is tied for event Champion may shoot off/carry-over for the Championship trophy. If a shooter fails in the championship trophy shoot-off/ carry-over and has declared a special category at the time of classification, the shooter can fall back to the declared category.
(3) Any shooter who has declared a special category at the time of classification and whose score qualifies for any trophy in his/her declared category, will com-pete for the category trophy and not for place, class or yardage group.
(4) Any special category shooter, whose score does not qualify for a trophy in his/ her category, may compete for place, class or yardage group trophies. Once any declarations have been made either by a shooter or shoot management, the declaration is final and cannot be changed.
