Mrs. Bocock’s First Grade Class Gets a Hands on Lesson in Economics

First graders are learning

about economics. We know about

wants and needs. We also know that

sometimes we can't have everything we

want. Sometimes it is necessary to save

money to buy an expensive item.

Mrs. Jodi, Ms. Rachel, and Mrs. Stone

have helped us learn about consumers and

producers. When selling snacks and lunch,

they wore a sign labeled producer. We

played the part of consumer by purchasing

food. We have also been counting money

in math.

Mrs. Wood’s Kindergarten class had a wonderful time in P.E. stacking cups. Mr. Davis let them stack them in any shape that they wanted at first. Then, he challenged them to work as a team and use all of the cups to build a huge wall. Thank you Mr. Davis for all you do for our school!

KINDERGARTEN FUN!

Students in Mr. Eaton's

7th Grade Math Class

use Algeblocks to model
