RULES: 1. The starter Pokémon can be determined by some different methods: The last digit of a randomized number between 0 and 9999. o 0: Reset the random number generator. o 1-3: The player must choose the Grass type starter Pokémon. o 4-6: The player must choose the Fire type starter Pokémon. o 7-9: The player must choose the Water type starter Pokémon. Rolling a D6. o 1 and 2: The player must choose the Grass type starter Pokémon. o 3 and 4: The player must choose the Fire type starter Pokémon. o 5 and 6: The player must choose the Water type starter Pokémon. Rolling a D20. o 1-6: The player must choose the Grass type starter Pokémon. o 7-12: The player must choose the Grass type starter Pokémon. o 13-18: The player must choose the Grass type starter Pokémon. o 19 and 20: The player must do a reroll. 2. After Poké Balls become available, the first wild Pokémon in a new area must be caught. If said wild Pokémon faints or flees, you may not capture any other wild Pokémon in the same area. o If the wild Pokémon happens to be a roaming Pokémon , you have to attack it. Its escape or its defeat doesn’t qualify as the ones of regular wild Pokémon. If the player has an egg, he/she must hatch it in an area where he/she hasn’t made an attempt to capture a wild Pokémon. Pokémon that have an overworld sprite before the battle cannot be captured. Legendary Pokémon cannot be captured unless it hinders the player’s progress. Event Pokémon mustn’t be captured or used. o If the non-optional legendary Pokémon is captured whilst the player has a full party, it must be put into the PC. If else, the player cannot use it. If it’s the last party member standing, the challenge is over. 3. Every Pokémon must receive a nickname .

If a wild Pokmon in a new area belongs to the same line as a previously captured Pokmon, you may ignore clause 1.a. until you find a Pokmon with a new evolution line.6. The use of Pokmon Daycares is forbidden.7. Items during battles and healing moves, excluding Pain Split, are forbidden.8. No trades with NPCs and with another player are allowed.

9. Banned items / in-game functions: EXP Share (EXP. ALL in Gen. I ; held item in Gen. II Gen V ; key item in Gen. VI, must be turned off) Lucky Egg (from Gen. III onwards) Master Ball Pokmon-Amie and Super Training (Gen. VI)10. The entire run is valued by certain things that are happening in the game. The final score is called Carat Weight. Its purpose is to show how well the player has done throughout the Caratlocke.11. The player must pick up to 6 Pokmon for the Pokmon League. Those Pokmon have to be the ones that stood the longest throughout the game to this point.12. The player must fulfill certain conditions predetermined by the game to beat the Caratlocke: Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, FireRed, LeafGreen: The player must defeat Mewtwo. Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, SoulSilver: The player must beat PKMN Trainer Red. Ruby, Sapphire, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire: The player must beat Champion Steven. Emerald: The player must beat PKMN Trainer Steven. Diamond, Pearl, Platinum: The player must beat Champion Cynthia. Black, White: The player must beat Team Plasma Ghetsis in his final battle. Black 2, White 2: The player must beat Champion Iris. X, Y: The player must beat Champion Diantha.OPTIONAL RULES:1. Once the overall Carat Weight reaches a value below 0, the challenge ends.2. Additional banned items: Every other Pok Ball except for the regular one Max Potion Full Restore Full Heal Lava Cookie Old Gateau Casteliacone Luminose Galette Shalour Sable3. The number of items the player can buy in stores/shops is limited to 5 and vending machines are banned.4. When visiting a gym, the player can only take 3 Pokmon with himself/herself.
