DISINFECTION BY-PRODUCTS

• Disinfection by-products (DBPs) are produced by disinfectants reacting with naturally-occurring organic compounds found in the source water.
• There are two main groups:o Trihalomethanes (THMs)o Haloacetic Acids (HAAs)
