Any information you request will be sent to you in the coming week. Sermon Notes Our Worship: We believe “every heart is restless until it finds its rest in God.” In our wor- ship each Sunday we try to refocus on God, believing that with God at our center, the rest of life comes into perspective. Worship is giving God the honor and praise He is due. It is also an act of surrender, allowing God to transform us according to His will. We can watch others worship, but it only becomes our own worship when we use the different parts of the service to honor and surrender to God. We invite you to “worship” with us. The Lord’s Supper: We celebrate the Lord’s Supper as modeled by the New Testament Church. We would like to invite all believers to join us in this celebration. When the emblems are passed, you may either partake at that time and return your cup to the tray or you may keep them and partake whenever you are ready. You may place your cup in the cup holder in front of you. The Offering: If you are a guest with us this morning, please feel under no obligation to con- tribute to our offering. As members of a church family, our offering is one of the ways we worship God and support the work of the church. As our guests, we would like to serve you this morning. Becoming a Christian: The plan of salvation which emerges in Scripture includes believing that Jesus is Lord, repenting of one’s sins, confessing Jesus before men, and being baptized by immersion, all of which result in one’s receiving God’s forgiveness and the gift of His Spirit. Total surrender to God results in true life from God. Any one who would believe and repent is encouraged to come forward and confess and be baptized. Any believer who has been immersed by another Christian community committed to the deity and Lordship of Christ can transfer their membership to Capital City Christian Church if they desire. If you would like to make Jesus your Lord or join the CCCC Family, we invite you to come forward at the end of our service or talk to one of our staff. A Christian Church: As a non-denominational Christian church we do not believe we are the only Christians, but we attempt to be “Christians only.” Therefore we desire to make the Bible our only rule of faith and practice. We want to embody the restoration maxim: “in essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.” Elders & Trustees Scott Chalk - Elder Steve Crum - Elder Tommy Current - Elder Ministry Staff Senior Minister: Dr. Stephen Pattison 320-1331 (C) • [email protected] Youth Minister: Mike Case 319-3909 (C) • [email protected] Office Manager: Angela Eades 695-1188 (O) • [email protected] Worship/Music Coordinator: Lisa Mackey 320-9459 (C) • [email protected] Minister to Senior Adults: Larry Weese 319-6611 (C) • [email protected] Children’s Minister: Clinton Hall 320-4440 (C) • [email protected] Directions Minister: Jim McKay 502-905-2293 (C) • [email protected] Associate Minister: Jon Sutphin 320-2654 (C) • [email protected] Office Assistant: Nancy Turner 695-1188 (O) • [email protected] 15 Locust Lane • Frankfort, KY 40601 • (502) 695-1188 • (502) 695-8747 fax Worship Tech Coordinator: J.C.
