Southern Massachusetts is marked by its history: it was in Plymouth, in 1620,
that the Mayflower landed on this "promised land". On board were the
Pilgrims who would found the United States. The numerous lighthouses, ports
and historic houses evidentiate the importance of maritime activity through
time. Cape Code, “The Cape” is contiguous to the county of Plymouth. The
is home to Bostonian and New York elites , where they built beautiful second
homes in wood. The Kennedy family owns a villa in Hyannis, one of
