Swiss Joinery has been known as South Australia’s high end architectural manufacturer since 1979, but now we’ve taken a fresh approach to the commercial construction industry to ensure a much more collaborative and consultative process, right from the early design stages of a project through to estimating and final handover.

We see tremendous value in the principles of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), identifying solutions that provide the highest value for money and the lowest risk through delivery. We do this extremely effectively with both the design and architecture community as well as builders and head contractors.

Swiss Joinery is a solution-focused commercial and architectural manufacturer. Founded in 1979 by two Swiss artisans, the company’s aim was to create the highest quality furniture and joinery to specific and often exacting requirements.

For more than 40 years we have delivered outcomes that add value and exceed expectations. To do this we draw on a rich depth and diversity of project experience, responding to each brief with a balance of evidence and innovation.

As a boutique provider, we have a highly personal approach to our work. You will deal with the same person every time. We value close relationships with our clients, and we are known for attentive and professional service.

Based in Adelaide, we are proudly SA-owned and, where possible, source all labour and materials locally.

Fine attention to detail

is a fee-for-service consulting and support program for professionals working in commercial construction. It is specific to the interior design aspects of commercial joinery, such as specifying, detailing and cost management.

The aim is to create a better synergy between design and manufacture. By providing design support at the very start of a project, we can prevent problems arising during manufacture and installation. This significantly reduces risk, cost and time for everyone involved.

Unnecessary variation orders, requests for information and repeat designing can be eliminated merely by engaging the support of our designated joinery estimators at the beginning, before documents leave the designer’s desk or go out to tender.

can be engaged by the designer, head contractor or cost consulting team at any point throughout a project, although best results are achieved at the early design stage.

Our team will assess the intended joinery design and detailing, and collaborate with the designer to determine the best outcome without compromising the design intent, exceeding the budget or creating unnecessary time delays.

Either an hourly or project rate will be advised depending on time and project requirements.
