Pre-Interview Preparation

Founded in 1964, Canvas Holidays is the original and longest running overseas camping tour operator in the UK. We started out on one site in Brittany offering only tent accommodation. We now operate on almost 100 campsites in France, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, Slovenia and Austria.

Mobile homes were introduced in the 1980s and we now offer over 6 varieties of mobile homes as well as tents, lodges, woodland lodges, roulottes and carré d’étoiles.

We are owned by Wyndham Worldwide who are one of the worlds leading holiday accommodation providers. Wyndham Worldwide also own all of these companies.

Our aim is to provide our customers with the best possible holiday experience. We do this by offering a variety of campsites and different travel options. We also offer extras such as linen, toddler equipment and free children’s clubs.

Most importantly we offer our customers a friendly and knowledgeable onsite courier service.

Our mission is to be the service leader in the camping industry. Our core values define the essence of who Canvas is and how we want to be known. They are themed around ORANGE, the colour of our uniform. Each letter represents a phrase that you will get to know well and apply every day.

Montage Depending on your start date you may be involved in the setting up of campsites, making them ready for opening. This is called montage…

CleaningCleaning is the biggest part of a courier’s job. Our couriers prepare the accommodation to the highest possible standards to ensure our customers have the best holiday experience ever.

ReceptionThere is a Canvas reception on each site and couriers are on duty during set hours each day. Couriers are required to meet new arrivals and show them to their accommodation. Couriers also provide the customers with local information and are required, on a rota basis, to be on call during the night.

Customer VisitsCustomer visits are the best part of the job! Couriers visit customers at their accommodation ensuring that they have everything they need to make their holiday the best one ever.

Other DutiesCouriers are required to carry out basic maintenance duties such as changing gas bottles and bike maintenance. They may also be required to carry out some administration duties, and depending on dates of employment, demontage.

Team LeadersTeam Leader duties include all courier duties plus taking responsibility for all paperwork and administration. They are also responsible for ensuring all accommodation is cleaned to the correct standard and for leading and supporting the onsite team.
