Judo is a sport where individuals compete against each other to score 'Ippon' which is awarded for a controlled throw or for pinning an opponent down for 20 seconds. Judo has many practical uses and teaches using opponents momentum to your benefit. Overall we would like to congratulate Jordan and Nate on their achievement. Well done! 1

Student LeadersStudent Leaders

The Art Show was on last week in Block A. The artworks lookedamazing, and everyone enjoyed looking at the artworks.

Yesterday was the High School transition Forum. Students andteachers from Canterbury Boys and Canterbury Girls came totalk about what high school is like. People learnt a lot aboutwhat to expect in high school.

Also, yesterday was Day 2 of the Zone Athletics Carnival.Everyone tried their best and did an amazing job.

This term, a few Stage 3 students have entered a competitionwhere they have to make a newspaper. The winner gets 6iPads and a tour of the Sydney Morning Herald news room. Wewill find out the winners in October. There are copies in everyclassroom as well as the library. If you wish to purchase onethey are on sale for 50c.

Tomorrow is K-2’s Rewards Day and on Friday is 3-6’s. Speakwith your teacher about bringing in games and other activities.

We had another incredible term with awesome activities suchas the Colour Run, the Health Hustle and the Athletics Carnival.We hope everyone has a safe and great holiday – we can’t waitto see you in term 4.
