FILMING SPEED

16 frames per seco nd is the spe ed usually used for

norma l purposes . The speed is incr ea sed w hen tak ing

pictures of moving tra ins and ve hic les or other high

speed or fas t ac tion sub je c ts . A higher speed would

be used , for instance , to take shots of birds in flight

or to produce slow-motion effects of sports action .

The Canon Reflex Zoom 8 ho s been d esigned pr imari ly

a gr ip ; ho w ev er , ca re should be taken to ho ld t he

ca mera a s fi rm ly as poss ib le and avoid shak ing w hile

shooting .

If the ca mera is not steady w he n tak in g y our sho ts,

th e resu l ting p ic ture s w i ll be shaky and d iffi cu l t to

see . Special ca re should be t ak en when zoomi ng or

t ak ing a t the maximum foca l leng th. For the best

stability when tak ing p ictures, p lace the camera on

a table , or fir m surface, or use a stu rdy t r ipod o r

mon opod.
