What we will do Cancer Rehabilitation involves exercise and education sessions in a group setting. Exercise will be in a group but using an individual program developed for your level of fitness and tiredness. You will also have a home exercise plan
What you should bring • Wear comfortable clothing and
shoes suitable for the exercise sessions
• You can bring a friend or family member to some of the education sessions
Your GP and Oncologist will be told when you start the program.
Staff involved in the program can include a Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Nurse, Counsellor, Occupational Therapist and Dietitian

What is Cancer Rehabilitation? Cancer Rehabilitation will help you to deal with some of the issues you may have after finishing treatment for cancer. This may include: • feeling tired and weak • feeling stressed or anxious • choices with food and diet Who can attend? • The program is for people who
have finished treatment for cancer in the last two years.
What are the benefits of the program? • Improvements in fitness • Improvements in managing
tiredness • Improved confidence with physical
activity and regular exercise • Increased knowledge and
strategies for dealing with stress • Better knowledge of healthy food
