Using Fast track is easy and quick
■ The lengths are easy to join. The mechanical and electricalassembly is completed by simply pushing together the lengthsand tightening with a locking screw
■ Easy to mount with a single bracket every 3 metres
■ Silver copper contacts and a foolproof locking deviceguarantee the quality and reliability of your connections
Safety built in
Silver copper contacts and a foolproof locking device ensure allconnections with Fast track are safe and secure. All live parts areinaccessible for complete safety and the installed busbar trunkingautomatically complies with current regulations.
Perfect for a wide range of applications
Applications that benefit from CanalisFast track include:
■ Small and medium sized factories
■ Retail buildings
■ Storage buildings
■ Workshops
■ Leisure facilities
■ University and college buildings
Future upgrades are easy
When there is a need to upgrade an installation, the ‘click’ systemof joints, mounting and tap-offs means that Canalis Busbartrunking is easier to work with than traditional cable.
Save time & reduce costsThe installation of Canalis Busbar trunking iseasy and because of this it is quick. This majorreduction in labour time means you can make atotal cost saving of up to 34% compared withusing cable for the same installation.

Canalis versus cable: cost comparison
For many applications, Canalis not only provides a cost saving forthe initial project, but when compared with conduit or cabletrunking, the time saving obtained effectively offers many hours offree labour.
For example - on a 20m lighting run, with lighting every 2m, basedon an average installation time per metre, Canalis versus metalconduit and cable produces the following results (component ratesbased upon typical 2000 levels. Labour is given at estimated £10per hour).

• The straight lengths are self-carrying and support lighting devices.• The electrical and mechanical connections are made quickly.• Tightening the screw completes assembly.
• Two types of feed units are available for mounting on the left or right.• The connection system is identical to straight elements.• The run always ends with an end cover supplied with each feed unit.• The feed units can be adapted to single-phase and 3 phase distribution.
• C -shaped brackets are attached to the building structure using a threaded rod, a chain or a cable.
• The recommended fixing centre distance is 3m.• The max. weight allowed per C-shaped bracket is 60kg.• The luminaire suspension brackets are mounted quickly and straight
onto trunking. Preparation of the luminaires is carried out before mounting.
• The maximum weight per suspension bracket is 20kg.
• Pre-wired tap-off connectors enable instant connection of lighting equipment to the Canalis KBA run.
• They can be handled whilst live and on load.• The fixed polarity versions are equipped with a cable of a diameter of
1.5mm 2 and a length of 0.8m. • The universal versions come with phase selection and enable you to
connect the desired length of cable.
