Activities• Snowboarding, ice canoeing, snowshoeing, hockey, dogsledding,

slides, etc.

• Very special event and activity is the bikini snow bath event

• Snow sculptures

• Activity in associationPeewee hockey tournament

Canoe race

• St. Laurence river canoe race

• Special equipment

• Different jobs for different crew members on the canoe

• Practice all year for event

Bonhomme

• Lord of the ice • Wears an arrow sash and a red hat• Mascot• Special move the foot kick• Effigy – official pass

Duchesses

• 7 duchesses• Only 1 gets picked from a draw to be the Queen of

carnival• Had to be unmarried, have to take courses• Sell candles in there district, fundraising for charities and

community groups.

• Night and day parades • Streets decorated• Restaurants have winter patios in front of property
