Included are fertile plains for agriculture, vast mountain ranges, lakes and rivers and wilderness forests reaching to the north Arctic tundra. •The St. Lawrence river is Canada’s most important which provides a seaway for ships reaching the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. •The mountain ranges include the Torngats, Appalachians and Laurentians in the east and Rocky, Coastal and Mackenzie ranges in the west.
