Enjoy a leisurely scenic chairlift ride to the top of the ski area mountain, where you can view the entire valley and nature’s spectacular artwork. Terrific photography opportunities. Choose to ride the lift back to the base of the mountain, or hike down via Bald Knob Trail (moderately strenuous, not suggested for small children. Bring snacks and water if hiking). He writes simple, authentic, and emotional country songs and performs his solo acoustic show all over the Allegheny Mountains and the East Coast. Nat’s songs have been performed by an array of Top 40 Country artists and have been a part of national multi-media advertising campaigns. Food vendors & Inflatables will be open during this time!

Astronomy Weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park (Thursday-Saturday)Since 1987, the dark skies at Blackwater Falls State Park has welcomed the Kanawha Valley Astronomical Society. This group hosts an amazing astronomy weekend that is open to the public. Visitors may observe the striking beauty of the night sky often displaying the Milky Way from horizon to horizon due to incredibly dark skies. Astronomers, astrophotographers, and individuals fascinated with constellations are welcomed. Bring the family or come alone to enjoy a treasured resource - dark skies! The weekend activities include: Star watching parties each evening at Blackwater Falls Nature Center. Day time activities and sessions are also part of the event.
