In the First quarter the Semiconductor Division reached a milestone with the shipment of the 100 Eagle system

since its launch. The PCB Division launched a brand new product line -Unicorn, final inspection systems (AVI) for

the IC Substrates market. As always, the quarter was full of business events, as well as social events in the vari-

Camtek Headquarter International Women’s Day

This year’s event included a tasty and healthy breakfast prepared by a local chef and a floral arrangement workshop, where we made beautiful bou-quets with a variety of colorful flowers. The event was held in a pastoral, rustic scenery of a small village called Ha’Yogev.

Passover and Patent Recognition

This year’s tradition started with a ceremony granting employees with awards for their creative patent inventions, and a short presentation given by one of the patent inventors, Noam Gordon, who presented a simple description of his patent. Afterwards, we enjoyed an interesting lecture from Dr. Haim Shapira, an expert of Game Theory, who fasci-nates audiences around the world by sharing practical applications of the Game Theory in everyday decision making processes in the busi-ness world .

Purim Party

Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman. According to the Book of Esther, which takes place in the ancient Persian Empire, Haman, royal vizier to King Achashverosh, planned to kill all the Jews in the empire, but his plans were foiled by Mordecai and his cousin and adopted daughter Esther, who had risen to become Queen of Persia. The day of deliverance became a day of feasting, wearing of masks and costumes and re-joicing.

This year we celebrated Purim at a big Casino Party for all of the employees and their spouses.

China International Women’s Day

In order to care about women's health, HR department held a

lecture titled "Regimen via Traditional Chinese Medicine" on

March 8th (the International Women's Day) in Suzhou office as

well as Shenzhen office. We were honored to have Professor

Sun Lihong, who has been engaged in teaching and research of

nutrition and food hygiene for many years, in a three-hour

lecture.

During the lecture, Professor Sun introduced a lot of regimen

methods including, but not limited to, "health-preserving in

four seasons", "health-preserving recipe", "health-preserving

by acupoints", using simple language and vivid examples. This lecture was proved to have a good effect on all of

us.

At the same time, HR prepared a nice present for every woman employee. We all enjoyed it.

Happy Hour

2016 Happy hour of Camtek Suzhou titled ’Find the most beautiful scenery of Jiangnan’ was held on April 14th, 2016. This activity was divided into two parts: Healthy walking plus Photography contesting. The em-ployees could capture the beautiful scenery of Suzhou while they walked around the ancient city walls.

During the activity, we visited many gardens, like East-ern Garden, Ouyuan Garden, the Guihua Park and the Suzhou city wall museum, which contains Suzhou’s an-cient wall culture. Everyone enjoyed these activities and the beautiful scenery.

After the activity, we voted and selected 6 popular photos out of the total submitted for rewarding. The contest winners: First prize: Jolin Chen; Second prize: Tracy Pan, Angelnina He; Third prize: Eric Wu, Sean Li, Leo Li.

Arnon Ben-Nathan Date and place of birth: 14 July 1959, Bait Shearim, Israel Education: First degree in mechanical engineering Technion Israel Employed at Camtek since: 2003 Position: Mechanical group leader Division: Semiconductors The most inspiring invention: LED device. The LED device is so sim-ple. You just put current to the right, solid, material and get the light. No moving parts, no vacuum, no dangerous gas, no high cur-rent. The potential of the LED is enormous regarding electricity sav-ing and environment protection . The most inspiring inventor: John Bardeen who invented the first transistor in Bell labs, together with two more scientists. I’m inspired by: The team work and its results. Bell labs awarded seven Nobel prizes for the work completed there. From its great portfolio I can mention the transistor, CCD camera, C and C++ computer languages. I’m amazed by: The creation and the creator. As much as we dig into the rules and potential for new inventions,

it just never ends. God, also, gave so many gifts to mankind .

The most inspiring invention: MOS Gate – the semi-conductor transistor

technology inside all integrated circuits today. I find it particularly amaz-

ing, since it was originally invented in 1925, it is based on modern quan-

tum physics theory, which was devised only shortly before .

The most inspiring inventor: Leonardo Da-Vinci. Because he was a multi-disciplinary with a wild, imaginative,

and open mind, and he was also an artist who appreciated the aesthetics of things. This led him to create the

craziest and most visionary (if not always practical) inventions.

I’m inspired by: everyone around me – from my wife, parents and brothers, to co-workers and friends. There is

something to learn from everyone .

I’m amazed by: the speed at which science and technology advance in our time.
