Olympic Style Weightlifting develops functional strength. In this class you will develop athletic skill, flexibility and power and learn the competitive lifts of the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. This program is open to beginners looking to learn the clean & jerk, snatch, and other related full body exercises. This is a great program for students and outside members looking to build strength, power and explosiveness through this very effective form of sport conditioning/cross-training.
BOOT CAMPGroup X InstructorSavannah
Experience a high-intensity, full-body workout, designed to build your strength and aerobic capacity, no matter your fitness level. You’ll move from station to station, alternating cardio drills and muscle conditioning exercises, to achieve the ultimate circuit workout. Each class will push you hard, but with a dedicated instructor and class full of supportive people, it will be easy to stay motivated and get to the nextlevel!
A non-stop, powerhouse workout guaranteed to challenge you to become stronger, faster and Increase your endurance. Expect high Intensity, fast-paced movements, drills, and the use of kettlebells, battle ropes, medicine balls, plate-weighted bars, and much more!
Butts N’ Guts is specifically designed to target your core and lower body with a combination exercises using equipment and your own body weight, this class will work on shaping and toning your abs, glutes, hips and thighs. (CLASS IS OUTSIDE, BUT MEET IN SRC LOBBY)
Yoga is an energizing class that cultivates heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and awareness. One dynamic pose flows to the next by synchronizing movement with breath. Stretches, poses and breathing exercises build energy, boost metabolism, stimulate circulation and restore overall vitality while improving posture, strengthening muscles and reducing stress and tension.
Viva La Dance is an intense dance exercise class with a variety music ranging from Latino music, Hip-Hop, K-POP, Bollywood, EDM,and 2000’s throwbacks. It is a dance class that makes exercising fun and motivates you to move by creating a dance party atmosphere.
Power Pump is designed to target every muscle group and increase your muscular endurance. The class will incorporate a mixture of body weight exercises, weighted exercises, and stability for a total body workout. Get a head-to-toe workout by working with equipment including dumbbells, resistance bands, barbells, body bars and more.
Join at any time! All classes are held in the Student Recreation Complex and run for 50 minutes unless indicated. Classes are open to enrolled students as well as faculty, staff and alumni with an SRC membership. Class descriptions are available online. Check in required.

Barbell class in which participants combine continuous cardiovascular activity with light to moderate weight training. The weight training is performed using a standard two-hand barbell with weight plates attached to both sides. The class will include in depth lessons on how to safely and correctly perform specificbarbell exercises, followed by conditioning and strength workouts incorporatingthe moves learned in class. Barbell classes feature few breaks in order to maintain an elevated heart rate and maximize the cardio benefits of the class.

Circuit training is a fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for an interval of time before moving to the next. Circuit training is a form of body conditioning usingboth high-intensity aerobics in combination with resistance training. This class is great for anyone looking for a total body workout!
